The next few fightstick arts will probably not be pony-related. While I love the hell out of MLP:FiM, I’d like to try my hand with something different. Just as a warning; don’t think I’ve started hatin’ ponies or whatever.
Second of three Princess sticks finally done. This time it’s the benevolent ruler of all of Equestria, she who raises the run every day, and (occasionally) brandishes a banana bag and sends ponies TO THE MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONAAAAAAAAAAAA. (beeyeetch)

Two brand-new things in this post, if you’ll notice. One, I’ve finally started on the princesses series of sticks, starting with PRINTEST WOONA (who is best Princess). As always, the full project file can be found here.
Thank you to maximillianveers for the Luna Cutie Mark, to blackm3sh for the updated Luna vector from “Luna Eclipsed”, to the ever-popular kurokaji11 for the teeny sleeping Luna. Kurokaji notes that it originally was from egophiliac’s comic, so I finally have something of hers on a stick design!
The second thing is that I’ve decided that I will not be doing fightstick art on the MadCatz TE for a while. I recently purchased a Qanba Q4RAF, and so far I am loving the bejeezuse out of this stick. So after the Princess Series, expect updated Mane6, Doctor Whooves, and Derpy, as well as some others I’ve honestly been putting off.
Also, one more thing: there will be THREE Princess sticks: Luna, Celestia, and one of the two of them together. That last one’s going to be the best…
*grumbles* About damn time I got one of these uploaded…
Finally! MORE FIGHTSTICK ART! This time it’s our favorite walleyed mare, Derpy Hooves! And yes, it’s okay to call her Derpy. That is her canon name! Which means, of course, that there is now a second pony that needs to be called Ditzy Doo.

Help me make 2011 a great year and 2012 a year of excess. Put SC2 in places it was never thought possible. Tell people who have never heard about it… do any and everything you can to grow this community and the game we love.

So here’s my question: If Geoff can feel so passionately about Starcraft 2, if he believes that his community can turn 16k people and hundreds of thousands watching on stream, and making it 32-40k in stadiums, with millions of people watching…
Why can’t the fighting game community?
Why can we in the FGC think that big? Can’t “anything and everything” be possible with fighting games? We know that we can bring the hype. We’ve brought it for years, and even now there are still incredible moments.
The FGC has got more than enough strength on its playerbase and the games available to be able to make 2012 the kind of year that Geoff wants for Starcraft. Maybe we need to work more with sponsors and business entities that we would have held at arm’s length in the past. Maybe we need to admit that there are small, but very ugly blemishes in the FGC that need to be removed. But if the drive and inspiration and willingness to work, and work HARD, is there…
There is no reason why Starcraft and fighting games should not be the eminent E-Sports in North America, if not the world.

Everyday I’m-GODDAMITWORK-in’
I’m sorry. Look, I know I promised more pony fightstick art, for more than one stick template. I’ve just been really busy the last few weeks. Work’s really been kicking my ass, and everyone’s on edge because the company’s been laying people off.
Like, last night I worked until 4:30 in the morning to help finish a project. The fact that I and people on my shift had to stay so late, is dumb, and stupid, and if there’s a mistake we’re gonna get scolded like we had all the fucking time in the world to do it.
I promise I’ve still been trying to figure out how to make the arts work. I’m looking at good vectors (LINK ME TO SOME PLZ), and I will have more stuff. I promise! Just, bear with me.
And finally, last but certainly not least, the Rainbow Dash Fightstick.

Honestly, I like this one the least. I partly admit that because of her immediate and seemingly universal popularity, there is a LOT of RD Fanart and vector art out there, which makes nailing down a few recognizable or memorable expressions/poses more difficult. Also, I was a bit frustrated that I couldn’t find that silly, “creeping like a cat” pose she does in Episode 2.
To that end, if anyone can find a large vector of it (2k pixels or bigger), please direct me to it. Thank you!
So now that the Mane 6 are done, it’s time to expand a bit. Obviously I said I’d re-do these sticks for other manufacturers such as Hori and Qanba, and I will. As a matter of fact my Qanba came in this past week, so Qanba-sized fightstick art is on the way! I’ll also do a few more TE-style arts, with the Princesses, Derpy/Ditzy Doo, and Doctor Whooves on tap.

It’s just…the RD and TS pony fightsticks…I don’t like them very much and I constantly change or adjust things. I’m not satisfied with their look at all.
But we’ll see. I’ll post Twilight tonight, and Rainbow Dash tomorrow most likely.
